What is the PM Internship Scheme?
Introduced in the 2024-25 Union Budget, this internship scheme aims to provide 1 crore internships in top companies over five years. The first phase, launched in October 2024, received an overwhelming response with 6 lakh applications and successfully placed over 82,000 interns in various industries.
Now, Phase 2 is here with 1.18 lakh new internship opportunities across 730+ districts in India, helping students and job seekers gain valuable industry experience.

PM Internship Scheme: Who is Eligible?
To apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Age: 21 to 24 years (Relaxation for OBC/SC/ST candidates)
- Education: Passed 10th, 12th, or Graduation from a recognized institution
- Annual Family Income: Below ₹8 lakh
- Exclusions: Those with professional degrees like B.Tech, MBA, CA, etc. are NOT eligible
Internship Benefits & Stipend
- Monthly Stipend: ₹5000
- One-Time Grant: ₹6000
- Duration: 12 months (including 6 months of hands-on training)
- Location: Available in all 730 districts across India
